Last night I was presented with the opportunity to photograph a flag retirement ceremony. Now I have seen them on the news before but never actually been to one. This one was being done by the local Troop and Pack 148 of the Pacific Council from University Place and most of the flags were donated by our Coast Guard Station - Grays Harbor. The challenges of this shoot included wind, sand, smoke and a strongly backlit scene and even with all that I am really happy with the results. I hope you enjoy them as well, let me know what you think.
